North Manchester General Hospital

North Manchester General Hospital recently underwent a refurbishment of their busy Accident & Emergency department.  In order to fulfil the exacting flooring requirements of this demanding environment, the hospital drew upon the proven track record of ARDEX and flooring contractor, PCS Flooring of Formby, Merseyside, to ensure that the specific flooring needs could be met.

To commence the 1800m² project, the floor areas received ARDEX DPM 1 C One Coat Surface Damp Proof Membrane.  Developed for use as a one coat system, ARDEX DPM 1 C is easy to apply, fast curing and can accommodate Hygrometer readings up to 98% RH.

Following the application of ARDEX P 82 primer to the cured DPM, ARDEX K 11 Levelling and Smoothing Compound was applied to provide a smooth and flat surface.  ARDEX K 11 is hard enough to walk on only 2½ hours after application, and the final floorcovering can be applied the next day, in this instance, using ARDEX AF 100 Pressure Sensitive Flooring Adhesive.
