David Lloyd Leisure Refurbishment

David Lloyd is a leading brand in the health and fitness industry with 86 centres servicing approximately 475,000 members across the UK.  After being acquired by TDR Capital in 2013, £50m is now being invested into the group in order to expand its network of clubs and grow its membership further.

Several new clubs have already been constructed, with the Glasgow, Newbury and Colchester sites finishing this year.  Most notable of these was the latter; having opened in October, it is currently Colchester’s only club with both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, and also boasts spa facilities, a state-of-the-art gym, exercise studios and indoor and outdoor tennis courts.

KCOM Stadium

The KCOM Stadium is a multi-purpose facility in the city of Kingston upon Hull, and was completed in 2002 following a £44 million build.  The stadium is home to both Hull City Football Club and Hull Rugby League Club, and in spring 2016 the 170m² main foyer and reception area underwent an extensive refurbishment.

The condition of the floor required the existing ceramic tiles to be removed prior to levelling with ARDITEX NA, which offered a fast track solution to the project by allowing subsequent tiling to commence after just three hours.

Loughborough College

Loughborough College was established in 1909, with a proud and long standing reputation for providing excellent levels of high quality teaching and training across Leicestershire.

Earlier this year, a £14.1 million refurbishment project started, which included the college’s original 1960s multi-storey building, providing students with 35 revamped classrooms, new science labs, IT rooms and flexible learning spaces.

Piccadilly Circus Underground Station

It’s been over 30 years since ARDEX products were used on the refurbishment of Piccadilly Circus Underground station, and although there have been thousands of commuters passing through each day, the work has stood the test of time.

Piccadilly Circus Underground station, part of the iconic Piccadilly Line, first opened to great fanfare in 1906, and following a staggering rise in passenger numbers, from 1.5 million in 1907 to 18 million in 1922, the station underwent a mass refurbishment to cater for the increased footfall.
